The Application and Move-in Process

Please be sure to fill out this application completely. Missing information will cause a processing delay or result in a denial.

Once completed, return to Red Door Residential with the following:

  1. Money order or certified check (we will not accept personal checks) in the amount of $40 per applicant. All applicants 18 years of age and older must complete an application and be professionally screened. If your application is not approved there is no refund of your application fees.
  2. A copy of each applicant's driver license.
  3. If you are beginning a new job, please bring a copy of your letter of employment. If you expect a problem or delay in receiving income verification from your supervisor, please bring a copy of your most recent paycheck showing year-to-date earnings.
  4. If you are self-employed we will need a copy of your most recent tax return.
  5. If the property allows pets, please bring a picture of the pet when you bring in the application form.
  6. It takes approximately 24 to 48 hours to process your background screening report. If you have lived out of state in the past it may take longer to process your application.
  7. If you request that the property be held off the market for you, or if you cannot take possession and begin paying rents within 3 days of the acceptance of your application, a NON-REFUNDABLE "deposit to hold" of $500 will be collected at the time that the application is approved. Upon move-in and collection of all rents and security deposits, the $500 "deposit to hold" will be credited to the security deposit.
  8. All initial move-in funds and other deposits must be either MONEY ORDER or CERTIFIED CHECK (no personal checks.)
  9. When you come in to execute your lease, you will need to bring the money required to be paid before you move into the home. These amounts will include damage deposits, pet deposits, rents and prorated rents. PLEASE NOTE: you will need to bring in these funds in the form of a certified check or a money order. NO PERSONAL CHECKS are accepted. You will need to provide all of utility account numbers to the property consultant prior to receiving the keys. After you have reviewed and signed the lease with the property consultant you will then receive the keys to the property, a copy of your lease, and a check in inspection report for you to fill out.
